Pink Cricket Restaurant

If I could give it zero Stars, I would. Since the latest change of ownership, this formerly iconic restaurant has gone sharply downhill. Pink Cricket Pizza has been one of my favorites since I was a kid. This is our second try since the new ownership. With intrepidation, after the last very bad experience with their take out, we decided to give it one more shot. I called in an order for a large pepperoni pizza and chicken tenders. I was told it would be 30-35min. My husband arrived within 20 minutes. It was a Saturday night and almost no one else was in the place... no one at the bar and a couple of tables with people. He ordered a beer and waited at the bar. Another couple came in, ordered a pizza and appetizers, and had their food on the table while my husband was still sitting there waiting... So, closing in on an hour since I called the order in, they offered him another beer, so he asks if his order is ready yet. They said they'd go check and brought out a pizza. He paid and almost left, but realized they didn't give him the tenders. Got the tenders and headed home. When we opened the food, it was obvious someone forgot he was sitting there waiting because everything was cold and dried out. The pizza had barely any sauce, was overdone, dried out and had not at all the flavor of the original Pink Cricket Pizza. Like, you take a bite and you just chew and chew and chew and it won't go down. Horrible. I don't have anything good to do say about the dried out chicken tenders either. Won't ever go back.

Haven't been here in years but saw a post on FB so I headed in. Got their pizza, wings, salad & husband got the meatball sub. He was not a fan of the sub. But everything else was good. Service was great. Food was super hot. Just needed some seasoning. Pizza is Ohio style with super thin crust. Wings are breaded. Just things to note.

For all locals and especially those who grew up in Lancaster, this is a cornerstone pizza place in our town. It's a great no-frills place to hang out with family and friends. You do not need to dress up to hang out at the bar or order food. T-shirt and jeans! They have added a handicapped ramp which is great to see but would still be difficult to manage alone with the dble doored vestibule but with an able bodied person, it would not be a problem. I love the sauce and the thin crust pizza!! They add plenty of sauce and the pretzel bites are excellent and look like buckeyes!! Fries are like those found at the fair! Yum! Prices have clearly gone up, like everywhere else but I was floored it cost $80 for 3 adults and 2 elementary aged girls. There is now a 3% surcharge for credit cards?! Just FYI The food was super hot and good as always, so that's a win! Parking is always a problem. Many use the bank parking lot across the street but I'm not sure if you are at risk of being towed or not. I had to park 1 block away and walk crossing two streets. Just fyi My ratings are based on the casual nature of this bar/restaurant and NOT to compare it to high end, upgraded chains. So for a relaxed no frills neighborhood "joint" I give it two thumbs up and am grateful they made it thru covid and beyond!!

Great evening of live music by "Off The Grid"! Very pleasant atmosphere and great service! The servers and I'm sure the kitchen as well were energetic, friendly and definitely on top of everything and on the ball. The bar and restaurant itself inside was very cozy and inviting and the outside back patio was just as nice. Seemed like all the patron's were just as nice and respectful of one another. Definitely will be going back 👍

I only gave one star because the waitress was good. First I ordered a glass of water. The water tasted weird. I ordered the Italian sub and fries. The fries were soggy and very greasy. So disgusting. The sub was just okay. The Italian dressing tasted off. My husband ordered 6 wings and a pepperoni pizza. He said his wings tasted like old grease. His pizza was so greasy he had to pat the top with napkins. We probably won't be back.

The “new” pink cricket. We ate there on 9/28/23 at 6:00 pm. We almost never stopped because parking lot was full. We went in anyway to find the restaurant almost empty. Employees must have used all the parking spaces. Not good. We always loved the pizza. We got pizza again but something was different not sure what. We never did pinpoint it. It wasn’t bad but not as good. I hope they don’t cut corners because we’ve been eating there for years. And I mean years. The atmosphere wasn’t the restaurant’s fault there was just one table very loud. Kind of ruined it for us.
